Introduction to Bioterrorism Preparedness

Description:

This 1-hour class serves as an introduction of health professionals related to recognizing and responding to bioterrorism and other public health emergencies. It is available both as a face-to-face presentation. The class describes selected biological and chemical agents, etiology, symptoms, recommended treatement, and isolation precautions. Course aims are to educate healthcare providers to: 

  1. Recognize a public health emergency
  2. Protect themselves and others
  3. Activate the public health system
  4. Function as part of a healthcare team
