Diseases of Bioterrorist Potential

The Bioterrorism Training and Emergency Response Curriculum was developed to educate students and the public on information regarding bioterrorism preparedness and emergency response.

This module will cover most of the biological agents of concern  and their initial symptoms, the standard precautions used with all patients following a bioterrorism incident as well as additional precautions required with some biological agents, where person-to-person transmission is possible.  Also covered are procedures for notifying security and local law enforcement if a suspicious package or substance is received as well as what to do in the case of  contact with a suspicious substance.
