Preventing Transmission of Infections--Online Course

Description: This unique educational module focuses on the modes of disease transmission, explaining the ways diseases or organisms move from one individual to another. The module also examines the relationship between standard precautions and transmission-based precautions, and emphasizes how these precautions can help protect both the patient and the healthcare personnel from the exposure to an infection.

Free CE Credit: Physicians will earn 1.5 hours of Category 1 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award; Nurses will earn 1.8 contact hours from the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
