Infectious Diseases: Dengue

Description: The course “Infectious Diseases: Dengue” is designed to give a brief overview of dengue, its method of transmission, and concentration area. Signs and symptoms associated with dengue, dengue hemorrhagic fever, and dengue shock syndrome, as well as their treatment will also be covered. The course concludes with a short discussion of the 2001 Hawaii dengue outbreak, and prevention and containment strategies that may be utilized to combat a dengue outbreak.
