Description: This audio podcast entitled "Triage 101" is the first in a series of 3 podcasts from a lecture given by Eric Larson, MD, FAAEM Director of Disaster Preparedness for MUSC and Medical Manager of the South Carolina Task Force 1 USAR team. This lecture was delivered as part of a program entitled "Medical and Ethical Decision Making in Catastrophic Emergencies", October 27, 2006. This portion of the lecture focuses on the decision tree used in Simple Triage and Rapid Treatment (START) approach to assessing multiple patients in a mass casualty event.
